Laurie Menviel is Associate Professor at the University of New South Wales Sydney. She is a climate modeller, whose research has centred on understanding the role of oceanic circulation in past and future abrupt climate change and understanding the role of oceanic circulation changes on the global carbon cycle and atmospheric CO2. She is also part of the Australian Centre for Excellence in Antarctic Science.
