Nikola Koglin

PD Dr Nikola Koglin is a petrologist in the Polar Geology Unit at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), Hannover, Germany. She studied geology at the University in Halle/Saale, finishing with a diploma and holds a PhD from the University in Mainz. She wrote her habilitation thesis at the University of Würzburg. Nikola's fields of expertise are petrology, geochemistry, and age determinations with different methods as well as their interpretation, which she has applied at BGR since 2017 to better understand rock formation and geodynamic processes from both Polar Regions.
