Paola Del Carlo

Paola Del Carlo is a senior researcher at INGV Sezione di Pisa (Italy). Her research activity is mainly focussed on volcano geology, tephrostratigraphy, petrography and geochemistry. She has experience in field work on active volcanoes and in core activities offshore and inland. She has been involved in projects studying Cenozoic and Neozoic volcanism in Victoria Land (Antarctica) and has participated in Italian expeditions at MZS and McMurdo Station (Ross Sea). She also has experience in monitoring the activity of Etna and Stromboli volcanoes.
