Ryan Steadman

AIDD Driller KIS3 2024/2025

Ryan is the lead engineering geologist in RDCL's Wellington office.

He has over five years of experience in the geotechnical industry, both as an engineering geologist and a geotechnical driller. Ryan has drilled across New Zealand, both onshore and offshore, for projects ranging from site investigations to research.

Visiting Antarctica is high on his wish list, as he completed a few Antarctic Studies papers during his undergraduate studies at the University of Canterbury.

Ryan is excited to be part of an interesting and challenging project that will aid climate change research. This is his first season drilling for the SWAIS2C project, and he hopes it won’t be his last Antarctic deployment.
