Antarctica Is BIG!
Vast, massive, enormous, humongous — there’s no shortage of words to describe the size of Antarctica, but it can be hard to get your head around just how BIG it is.

Our Education and Outreach Coordinator Marlo Garnsworthy has created a series of illustrated comparative maps to show the sheer scale of the icy continent, the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, and the Ross Ice Shelf relative to more familiar chunks of land.
